We celebrated World Book Day in March by dressing up as some of our favourite characters from books and novels we love!

To mark Engineers Week, we were very lucky to have Olivia Daly who is an engineer with IBM in Cork come to visit Mr. McElroys class. She presented some slides to the class and she talked about what it was like to be an engineer and all the skills you would need. She also introduced the children to all the different types of engineering - such as chemical, electrical etc

Olivia also talked about her engineering job with IBM and what her day entails. Then the children took part in some hands on engineering activities and investigations with Olivia.

Anthony Collins from the Irish Tug of War Association gave a workshop to 3rd and 4th Classes on the sport of Tug of War.

Homework Pass presentations were made to the Credit Union Quiz teams and the County Scouts quiz team at our March Assembly.
