Welcome from the Principal
I am delighted to introduce myself as the Acting Principal of Cloughduv National School, beginning in September 2024. Having been a member of the Cloughduv school community since 2019, I have experienced first-hand the warmth and positivity that make this school a special place. Though originally from Cork City, I feel deeply connected to the local community here in Cloughduv.
I enter this position with a range of experiences, having taught in DEIS Band 1 schools as well as multi-grade national schools. These diverse teaching environments have provided me with invaluable opportunities to learn from and work alongside some of the most dedicated and hardworking teachers and management teams in education. It is through these experiences that I have come to appreciate the exceptional level of education that we strive to provide for our students.
At Cloughduv National School, our staff is united in our commitment to fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and enriching environment for our pupils. We work collaboratively, combining our strengths and expertise to ensure that every child thrives--ní neart go cur le chéile.
