Communication
Communication between the school and parents happens in a number of different ways both formally and informally.
Formal parent / teacher meeting are held in November each year and we ask all parents to attend. Written progress reports for each child are posted to parents in June.
We keep parents informed of notices and developments in the school through a variety of methods. Written notes have traditionally been the most common means of communication, however, we have changed to email as our main method in keeping with our Green Schools Initiatives. Parents & guardians should ensure that the school has the correct email addresses.
Our new school website is another way of highlighting all the fantastic work that happens here in school. It also links to our school twitter account as well as our school blog.
Notices can sometimes be required very quickly and therefore we may also need to send text messages using the Text-a-Parent system.
Needless to say, we contact individual parents by phone should an emergency occur. Please ensure that we have the most up to date phone numbers for you and a number of additional contacts also. These should be submitted using the pupil profile form which is distributed in September to new families.
