Communication
At Cloughduv National School, we value clear and open communication between the school and parents, both formally and informally. Formal parent-teacher meetings are held annually in November, and we strongly encourage all parents to attend these meetings. In addition, written progress reports for each child are sent to parents in June.
We keep parents informed of school updates and important notices through a variety of channels. While written notes were traditionally used, we have transitioned to email as our primary method of communication, in line with our Green Schools Initiative. We have introduced Aladdin Connect as a medium of communication between school & home. Homework is distributed via this resource. To ensure you receive all communications, please make sure that the school has your most up-to-date email address on file and that you have downloaded the Aladdin Connect app.
For matters such as student absences or important information regarding your son or daughter, we kindly request that you notify the class teacher as soon as possible. Aladdin Connect is now our preferred platform for this purpose, offering a secure and efficient way to communicate directly with the school.
We appreciate your continued cooperation in maintaining effective communication, helping us to provide the best support for your child’s educational journey.
Our school website is another way of highlighting all the fantastic work that happens here in school.
At Cloughduv National School, we are excited to announce that Instagram will be our primary social media platform for updates throughout the 2024-2025 school year. Follow us at @cloughduv_n.s to stay informed about school events, activities, and achievements. We look forward to sharing our school’s journey with you!
Notices can sometimes be required very quickly and therefore we may also need to send text messages using the Text-a-Parent system.
Needless to say, we contact individual parents by phone should an emergency occur. Please ensure that we have the most up to date phone numbers for you and a number of additional contacts also. These should be submitted using the pupil profile form which is distributed in September to new families.
